Chairman and Co-founder

Minexx

Mansoor Hamayun is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Minexx, a pioneering technology company transforming how critical minerals are sourced, traced, and traded across Africa. With a background in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London and a deep commitment to sustainable development, Mansoor is widely regarded as a thought leader in building transparent, technology-driven supply chains for the energy transition.

Before founding Minexx, Mansoor co-founded Bboxx, a clean energy company that scaled across 10 countries, delivering off-grid power to over 5 million people, including a significant segment of artisanal mining communities. This experience laid the foundation for his mission to unlock frontier markets by connecting sustainability, digital infrastructure, and inclusive economic growth. At Minexx, Mansoor has led innovations in mineral traceability, digital trade, and inclusive finance- facilitating compliant sourcing of tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and iron ore. His work bridges artisanal mining communities with global buyers, aligning with international standards, while unlocking access to formal markets and finance for previously excluded actors. Mansoor has represented Minexx at global forums including the Web Summit in Doha and the World Bank Global Digital Summit and actively collaborates with partners such as the Government of Gabon, the World Bank, and development finance institutions. He is also the recipient of multiple international awards, including recognition by Bloomberg New Economy, the Zayed Sustainability Prize, and others for his work in clean technology and inclusive development. Mansoor is a Pakistan-Swedish national with fluent English, Swedish, and Urdu.
