Dr Ahmed I. Osman is an Associate Professor in Energy Engineering at Canterbury CC University, specialising in sustainable energy, circular economy, critical-resource recovery, advanced environmental materials, waste valorisation, hydrogen, carbon capture and AI-assisted sustainability. He has published more than 219 Scopus-indexed papers, with over 32,000 citations and an h-index of 88.


He is an Expert Member of the EPSRC Peer Review College, a British Standards Institution committee member contributing to carbon-footprint standards, and holds senior editorial roles with Environmental Chemistry Letters, Scientific Reports and Molecular Catalysis. His work connects scientific innovation with lifecycle evidence, industrial deployment, resource security and public trust.


Dr Osman is also the founder of 3ELM TUBE, one of the largest Arabic-language public science platforms, reaching nearly 4 million followers worldwide.
